I currently have a 14 gallon Biocube and am about to start a new nano reef tank in a 29 gallon Biocube. I will continue to post updates and pictures as I start up this new tank. I am also looking for a little advice along the way so feel free to give me any tips or suggestions. First off I am about to start my new reef tank and was wondering how much live rock and sand I should start with.

For a 29 gallon i wouls use about 35 pounds of live rock, whats your plans for lighting and filtration? and be patient thats the best advice that you could get. Patience is key in a reef tank

In my 29 Biocube I found that one 20lb bag of sand was perfect. 15lbs if you like it a little more shallow. I have about 40Lb of live rock. Also on the Biocube keep an eye on the temp. I live in a warm climate and my Biocube would get up to 83, even with the house at 76. I went and purchased a chiller, which I love btw. Now temp never varies from 78-79. Hope it helps!!
