Hi Everyone!! Got my new reef tank up and running on July 14th and it has been doing great. Cycled it with 43#'s LR from Local fishguy & 80#'s LS. Never even had a Nitrite/Nitrate spike. Going to be adding more LR soon. (Need some time to gather up some more $$)

All my perimeters are great, however my PH is reading 8.0 tonite. Is this a concern?

Here is my water perimeters currently.
Salinty 1.023-1.024
Temp 79-80
Calcium 460
PH 8.0
Nitrites 0
Nitrate 0
Amonia 0

A Ph of 8.0 is no concern in my book. I've seen several cases of tanks that have as low as 7.8 and have extremely healthy corals and fish. 8.3 is the standard for optimal results but is not necessary...so long as the Ph has a slow rise and fall throughout the day and nothing extraneous.
