Kenya tree, some yellow zoa with green skirt, a limpet, red mangrove, and some GHA... the cyano is almost completely gone.

Limpet, that explains it. Glad I asked. I thought there might be a chance you had some coral in there. In a pico you almost would want them not to grow. Almost!

Not much... daily top off a few ounces of water (mostly to wash the mangrove). Once a week I do a 99% water change

Thats like leaving a shot of water in the tank. Does everything still react positively to that large( proportionately) of a water change? Salinity must have to be spot on.

My water is premixed in large quantity, so salinity matches. Top offs are not precise though I just eyeball them daily. I can tell that after the water chaneg everything is much relieved from the accumulation of debris/ditritus at the bottom.

Thats a pretty cool idea, having such a small tank. Do you have any fish in there? No skimming, I assume, due to the extreme water changes you described.

No fish, so no die.

No need to skim as I do 100% water changes.

Just coral and hermits/snails
