Has anyone ever heard of ricordea mushrooms growing "better" when they are on a rock vertically instead of laying flat?

Ok, so I have a 55 gal set up with a DSB about 65lbs of live rock and about 20 different types of assorted mushrooms. I've got some mexican turbo, astrea nassarius snails, and my fighting conch. I want to add some a couple fish to the tank and I am wondering which ones I should avoid...

Prob not the first to see this happen but kinda cool none the less. Asterina ended up "donating" half of himself to my feed the hungry program only to have the ricordea lose his meal QUICKLY to an opportunistic peppermint shrimp... You can also see the baby Ricordea that was dropped...

Well as the title has I own a small xenia frag that i got from my sis' tank and I have an orange yuma thats about 3/4" to 1" Well I placed my xenia right in the nook of a rock trying to get it to spread to the rock and for a while it just kept doing its pumping motion toward the rock and...
