As Matt, Jake, and John know I found a slight leak on the base of my 75 :( It is just salt creep at the moment but I am finding it at the base of the tank where the plastic guard is at. Also underneath where the plastic guard is, if I scrape away the salt underneath it feels damp.
Ok, the time has come and I can't hold on to these tanks I love any longer if I'm going to get moved to Canada.
I'm going to start with selling the LR, then the fish and critters ('cause I can't catch them with the rock in the way and I don't have a large container to move anything into), and...
I have seen alot of threads and ppl here love pics.
I haven't seen a thread of this sort so I love pics and would like to see your favorite fish (in your tank) or if you still have that first fish (in your tank). Let's post them and brag a little about them.
Just posting here to say hello and list the tank. We have several freshwater tanks housing assorted cichlids and one blackwater tank housing rays/bichirs, but we just started our first saltwater tank...and we are quickly falling in love with the marine world. :rotflmao:
At the moment we have a...
my plans are a 10 gal tank with some corals
I have a tank (somewhere in my basement)
I plan on DIY almost everything on it

more to come once I get home and layout my supplies

Wanting to test the waters on interest in fish/corals/tank and equipment before deciding what route to take.
I would of course love to sell the complete 75G setup as a whole but that seems unlikely.

20G Long Sump/Refugium in stand with...
Ok so I have aiptasia. I have done all I can with joe's juice and its just not going to kill them all. I can not take my rock out I have to much coral on it. I have a pink face wrasse that likes to eat krill and onetime he did eat a peppermint shrimp. So I dont think I can get alot of them to...
So I have neglected to do any water testing for awhile. I keep a log so the last time I tested was the 24th of Feb. Well I did test it today and got some good and some not so good results, and here they are:
my percula that ive had about a week and a half bit me twice today! once while i was cleaning and then l8r when i was adding some new Corals. is this normal?? that little guy packs a bigger punch than it looks.

I just got my fairly new 20gal nano setup (~1.5 month old) and its been running with out any problmes for the most part. The only thing I have been noticing is that there is a wierd film that floats ontop of the waters surface. When I blow on the film to break it up, it breaks into little plates...

this thread is about reef fish in the hobby that we don't see everyday .
so fish like yellow tangs , blue tangs , royal grammas , manderin fish , ( you get the picture ) don't count . now if its a fish that seems readily avialible , but due to cost or the feelings that they are not durable fish...
