Just joined TRT today and stumbled across this. I'm about a week or so away from putting water in the tank - been building on/off the past two months (have kids, job and a 75g tank taking up my time:)) and buying the equipment for it

I'm thinking about buying an Aqua C Remora skimmer to replace my hanging berlin wet/dry, but I'm not sure if it will fit my tank.
I'm looking for anyone who has one of these who can measure it and see if it will fit.
My acrylic tank has an opening at the back of the top which is 7/8" from...
I just started a reef tank and only have 2 corals. In the past few days I have had a bad breakout of red slime. Is there anything I can add to the tank to get rid of it? If so, will it harm my corals? Thanks for any help.
My softie reef will soon be upgraded from a 30g to a 50g.
I need a skimmer.
My question is is a super skimmer the way to go or am I better off putting the cash towards a higher end skimmer?
I'm debating back and forth... what to do??
I have a 37 gallon with LPS, mushrooms, and polyps. I am getting ready to add a new filter system to this tank. What is the best filter for this tank? wet-dry, refugium, or a berlin type system with live rock in the sump. Thanks for any help.
Just looking for pos/neg experiences with this unit. Getting ready to set up a 125 and am looking for a good hob skimmer. LFS was pushing this unit really hard....so I thought I'd run it past the TRT before buying.
Any feedback would be welcome!
