As we've all seen (even us lurkers), Home Depot carries Southdown sand occasionally. My local (the one next to headquarters in Marietta) has some sand from Quikrete corp that is play sand and "appears" to be an unwashed (kinda grey-er), coarser version of the sugar white sand you get in the...

Well I went Home Depot recently and found some beautiful play sand but it said "do not use in an Aquarium." It was fine and white and I thought it would look beautiful. I live in NJ btw. Any idea why it shouldn't be used? What's the scoop on cheap but good looking play sand? I am thinking of...

Ok, so I need sand for my new 90g. Paying $200 for live sand is out of the question. I want a DSB. What do I do? A lot of research.
