Does anyone know if the overflow to the sump can be extended to go below the water line in the sump? I currently have mine about half an inch above the water line in the sump and it splashes water and I get the crud on and around the sump. Any ideas?:wavey:

Hello everyone, We had the perfect home fall into our laps recently and will be moving on November 25th. I've had an in-wall 125 gallon reef tank going since 2011 and my wife has convinced me to move the tank with us. At first I wasn't going to because as we all know, if maintenance is not...

Hi guys! I'm toying with the idea of drilling my tank and adding a sump. I am so scared. Anyhoo, I need a recommendation for an overflow box. I want to install it on the short side of my 55 gal tank. This means it must be less than 12 inches wide. I was hoping to create a bean animal/3...

I just got the deal of a lifetime but at the same time the headache of a lifetime. I got a brand new Red Sea Reefer that has never seen water off of Craigslist. It was from someone who was obviously very serious about reefing. It came with bags and boxes full of equipment that is mostly brand...

Everyone share you sump setups! Probably best if you list your tank size, sump size, and the equipment in your sump and how the water flows through it. Share away! I am trying to get an idea for myself.

I am thinking of purchasing a 150 gallon tank. The tank has 5 holes in the bottom of it. How could I run a sump off of these? Most things I see are overflows at the top of the tank... Any ideas? Also what size sump would I need? Thank you!

Hey, so I'm about ready to start my tank and am pretty sure I want to use a sump but am not 100% sure yet. I'm wondering if it's fine to start my initial cycle without a sump, and then add one later if I choose. Would it be bad to add a sump (and the additional water required) in the middle of...

Hi, everybody! My wife and I are finally making the jump to a saltwater tank with the hope of going straight to reef but we may start with FOWLR and then transition into reef. We have had freshwater tanks for about 10 years and have been doing quite a bit of reading on setting up and maintaining...
