Just as the title suggests, I have a 10 gallon tank sitting unused in my garage just begging to be setup. I also have a brand new JBJ 70W HQI clamp light that I have never used yet.
I'm not sure what to keep or what to do with this 10 gallon. Any suggestions out there???
Ok so i had enough of my fish going missing believing it to be a mantis. traps didnt work...today i spent most of my afternoon cold water dipping all of my live rock. Number of weird things appeared but the worst was 2 of these beasts here. Eunicidae is their name apparently, and they eat small...
I want to put a 110 CFM exhaust fan in my fish room and exhaust it into my garage. The fan has a damper on it and the wall cap will too. Do you think there would be a problem venting into the garage as far as humidity is concerned? I figured in the winter a little heat and humidity would be no...
Alright, so I got the tank today! Its about 190 gallons. Its going to take a while to finish, since we have a wedding in September, and will probably be moving back to Fresno to buy a house. So this isnt going to be quick, but hopefully will be worth while.
The tank is 60" long, 36" deep back...
I dunno, I had an idea for a tank, but would have to build it to get it. I was wondering if anyone had any experience making them?
I was thinking about trying the plywood/glass method since it looks like it'd be sturdy, but does the cost of the stuff to seal it make the project more expensive...
Does anyone here maintain coldwater marine tanks? Do you know of good photos of any? I'm interested in whatever might be available, whether it's from Tasmania, South Africa, NE or NW United States, Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, etc. I'm especially interested in sources of quality retail...
Finally caught this stinker !...Hard to tell from this shot but I estimated him to be three feet long. He was stretched along the diameter of the garbage can you see in the image and was just about head-to-toe ;)
at my local club people are telling me it's a bristle worm..It's not, I know what they are..
could it be a Medusa Worm?..The thing was like 9" long and swimming in the water column last night in a very agitated state....Scared the h-ll out of me..I thought it was an eel or snake the way it was...
AS some of you know, im in the process of setting up a highly advanced Filter Feeding Non-Photosynthetic tank. but i have set it back due to the lack of interest by fellow reefers world-wide. & i started thinking..if i were to put ...2 thousand into a system, spend hundereds on foods &...
What is a safe rate at which to remove sand? I'm thinking 1 cup per day? I'm wanting to make my 3" deep sand bed ( which is 36"w X 18"d ) to about 1" or so after doing some research about the potential dangers of deeper sandbeds ;)
Just curious on a few things, where do these corals come from, where i can i see list's of the corals that live there & where would someone get such corals, i know you need a chiller & same lighting. but is there anything else ? , ive seen some really beautiful tanks ;)
Call me paranoid, but I'm feeling very strong about risking to make a fire in the not observed area, the basement, especially at the night.
Fire alarm is good, but I prefer not to start the fire in a first place.
Now it will be beneficial to one of the tanks in the basement to have the...
