I'm going through what I think many have gone through...lightening corals to white, but still alive with white polyps...I feed like crazy and it is removed quickly...then about two days later I get an algae bloom, so a clean up...but the corals are still not any better. I have dialed back...

I picked up formula one pellet food from Danco's and have been using the product for a few days now and I am very happy. Since I have zero time the dried food is easier for me to use and my fish get to eat every day. The Pink square anthias loves the stuff and it comes in carnivore and herbivore...

Ok I know the big no no. The LFS Impulse Buy. But this one I had to have it's a Fu Manchu Lionfish. I hope my shrimp make it once I transfer him to the display (he's quaranteened right now). Anyone know anything about these fish, and is there anything special that I need to know about them...

I would ike to hears peoples experiance with pygmy angels. I have heard that flame angles like to eat larger polyp LPS, like scolymias and such. But I have also seen many of them happy in sps tanks. I am buying Pauls angel and I am debating if I will have corals in the tank.

I'm considering adding some fish to my 120bb to improve my sps colors as they're always pretty washed out but with good growth. I have two fish in it right now, 6 line wrasse and a LM Blenny but both are never fed and live off of tank nutrients so it's not an input source. The last time I had...

My rabbitfish is about to bite the dust again... I am about to give up on these B*(&)(*^ds!!!! I have a dejardian tang, a kole tang, splendid psudochromis, 2 ocsellaris clowns, and a marine beta. All the other fish are fine, as usual, but the rabbit today is barely swimming, its gills are...

Hello, I'm new here, and I'm glad that I found the new home of the BB-tank keepers. I'm Leonardo, 22 years old and I live in The Netherlands. I'm setting up a cube-shaped tank, bare-Bottom of course... System: 86 Gallon Shallow Cube 15 Gallon Sump MTT1 Skimmer Tunze 6110 (3170 G/h)...

I got a couple of young Ocellaris Clownfish Sunday. They aren't real active so I was just wondering if that was normal or if there's something I need to do that I'm not. I have them in my 12 gallon nano cube for now. I also bought San Francisco Bay Brand Frozen Saltwater MultiPack but the...

I got a Hippo Tang and a Juv. Orange Shoulder Tang today from Jerry, and I am wondering what I should feed them, I have Ocean Nutrition Seaweed selects, green and red and I see the Hippo bite it off and spit it out. My Naso Tang I had did that too so I am wondering if perhaps I have crummy...

Anyone care to share what dry foods they are feeding their fish? In particular, a number of my fish are small and also don't tend to eat stuff off the water surface, so I'm leery of flakes.

I got a Powder Brown last week and he has been eating "some" cyclopeze. Today i went to Mr.S's and got some macro algaes. I got kinda a leafy stuff and some bristly bunchy stuff. I was wondering what everyone likes to feed there tangs. Later Ryan

Well, I made my own frozen food based on Melev's recipe at http://www.melevsreef.com/food.html I made a few changes. The LFS did not have any spirulina powder or frozen krill, so I substituted some frozen brine shrimp. I also left out the silversides/smelt as I don't have any anemones yet. I...

...feed your fish? Just curious what the more experienced reefers are doing out there?? I started feeding 2 times daily, when my bue tang got ich. I wanted to add garlic, so I started soaking and feeding 2x daily. His ich disappeared and I continued this feeding. I would like to cut back but...

Anybody have any experience with Head and Lateral Line Erosion? I have notice some dull spots have started to appear on the sides of my blue regal tang along the later line. I have read it can have something to do with their nutrition, so I have changed up to a different brand of frozen food...

Hi all it's me, the pest, again. At the start of this week I bought some crabs for my 15H setup. The advice given at the time was to add the crabs, watch the tank readings, and if they were doing ok at the end of the week to go ahead and add something else. I don't want to rush things if...

I am new to saltwater, and have only had my newest setup for about 1 month. Everything seems to be going well, as far as my livestock is concerned, but I am now locked into a death match with Red Slime (Cyano Algea). My live rock is collecting bubbles all over it, which seem to feed constant...
