My pH monitor went nutso this morning. My normal check of the tank, my monitor read 14.62 this isnt right. :rolleyes: So, i took it out, cleaned the probe. Its not a battery, i am using the adapter. I tried to calibrate to 7.0 and 10.0 with no luck. Could the probe have gone bad already after a...
Recommended fluids for my probe are in disposable sachets and cost a fortune, surely i can cap n tube the liquid and re use? Or am i just being too tight :agree:
Will the Ph change if stored in screwcap plastic clear test tubes?
I'll log results how long it does last but just wondering if...
I have a Milwaukee pH Monitor SMS120, it was working good until 1-13-06,

i have a 30g xtall tank w/ 15g sump, aquaC remora, use kent salt, kalk dosing, and seachem buffer. ammo=0, ite=0, ate=5. My question why is it that my pH won't stay at 8.0-8.2? Alk=3.5meq/l, calcium=350. the seachem buffer only bring the pH up and then a few hours later it is back to around...
I have more tanks than I have cents (this is what some kid said behind my back at the local fish store a while back...I wanted to tell him he looked like most of his cents went towards his drug habbit) (GRIN)<GRIN>....and I am getting tired of filling 5 gallon jugs of RO/DI every other...
You know... it took getting a calcium reactor to buy a pH monitor. And when I used to test pH it always would be in the "acceptable" range, but not great. But, you know, when you have a monitor on your tank, and you see the numbers all the time, it really makes it more "real", and you can see...
I have a PinPoint pH probe and replaced the probe about a year ago. It operates, but it won't calibrate. I can get the 7.0 solution to calibrate, then have to turn the screw really far to calibrate the 10.0 solution, then the 7.0 is way off, and so on. Usually turning the screw just a...

Here are the rest of my water params:

Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 0
Ca - 300 ppm (good to see this is increasing, still got a ways to go)
Alk - 3.54 meq/L (not too bad, but still a bit low - slowly increasing)
