This crab came in a shipment of scarlet reef crabs I got a while back. The crab is getting huge!!! Anyway I purchased three huge mexican turbos and over night the red crab found a new home. $5.99 gone, the crab is a hard worker so I guess $5.99 a month isn't a bad salary to have to pay.

Since I treated my bugs and killed off all my crabs, Plus a heat spike to 89 degrees I've have a little algea; some hair, turf, some fuzzy stuff, and quite a bit of bubble algea since my emeralds are gone. So I hear all these different opinions "crabs are evil", "1 crab per will take care of...

I bought a peppermint shrimp yesterday along with a Six Line Wrasse. So last night I shut off the lights and then about an hour later I took a look with the flash light to see how that shrimp was doing. So I am looking around and I see this scarlet reef hermit running around without a shell on...

HOWDY, all members of the RMAC... Quick question for you. (Guess this is mainly directed at Michael and Jodi cause those are the two members of the RMAC that I know!) Just a few days ago I started to get quite an algea outbreak on my sandbed. It seems to be much thicker were the light is a...

Hello to all! For the second time in 10 weeks, I've spent the entire day cleaning out hair algae and scrubbing LR in our 120 reef w/7 fish. The nitrates HAVE gone down somewhat during the past 10 wks; they are somewhere between 10 and 25, it appears. We've cut down on feeding somewhat...

Mandarin, Green (Pterosynchiropus splendidus, Synchiropus splendidus) Yesterday I reconstructed my rock formations. Today, the Mandarin is no where to be seen. Thinking he might have gotten squashed when I replaced my rocks, I reconstructed again, looking for signs, dead or alive. Still...

Could anybody recommend some corals that do well in low light and low to moderate current? Yes, I'll admit it and I know I'm not the only one out there, I only have 80 Watts of standard flourescent lighting (one Corallife 50/50 and one Hagen Power-Glo) for my 55 gallon tank. I'm fairly new to...
