    does the ro/di unit run constantly or is there a shut off valve? i was looking to buy the typhoon III 5 stage unit. i would hate to find out that it is constantly sending water down the drain in order to keep the membranes from drying out.

    Do any of you know what the required water pressure is for most RO units ? I had one years ago and it seems that it required at least 50-60psi to operate.

    Okay, I just read about 10 RO/DI threads and I am still confused. First, I understand that RO units come in 75, 100 or 150 gpd, and that the 100 gpd units are not as efficient and you will have to replace the DI membrane more often. So, it's between the 75 and the 150... but why would anyone...
