Hello For some reason I am having an extremely difficult time in raising my ph past 7.8 and 8.0. I am adding seachem's liquid maine buffer but it is not going up. Any suggestions???? And if so what product works well at bringing it up and staying at around 8.3? Thanks a mill, Mike

Hi I was wondering, how do you lower alkalinty. My ph is about 8.0-8.1 and my alkalinty is high. I put some liquid seachem buffer in which raises ph to 8.3 and stabilizes alkalinity. Does anyone know if this will work? Thanks!

My friend and I both have a tank and we each have the same problem. Both of our calcium levels are low. Mine is reading 200 and my friends is reading 280. I don't know if it has to do with the alk at all. We both have been dripping kalk now for over a month. Our stony corals seem to be...

For those of you that have hard corals, you know that keeping the alkalinity, calcium, and magnessium levels up in your tanks can become an issue and get very costly, especially with a larger tank. In the past, the only options were aquarium additives or a kalk reactor. The additive costs add...

As most of you are aware, for the past year (since moving my tank) I have been plagued with fish and invert deaths, hair algae and occasionally non-thriving corals. I was always perplexed because I would have my water tested and pH would be 8.1-8.2, nitrate/nitrite/ammonia were 0, I was doing...
