I took out my sandbed last Friday night. It wasn't a DSB, just an inch or two of crushed coral that I've had for a few years. It was pretty nasty.
I've got a bag of SD that I want to add now, but I was curious to know if I should wait a certain amount of time before adding it or just throw...
My 29 is about dismantled, so... I've got about 30lbs-40lbs of live sand. It is all aragonite with about half florida sand that I bought live, and about half is I believe Pure Caribbean Aragonite brand which has a little larger particle size.
Any takers?

I have spoken to Home Depot and they have agreed that if I buy a pallet of the Southdown sand at a time, which has actually changed names according to them that they will order it for me at 6.99 / 50 lb bag + tax.
If you all are interested in this deal let me know and I will arrage for buying...

OK - sand and water are in.....water is probably 80% clear - I can see quite a bit of floating particles suspended when I shine a flashlight on it.
Should I let it sit for a day to settle more - or should I start the circulation and let the particles get filtered down?

Well I finally striped down the tank. I took all the live stock back to the LFS and started
a live rock tub. I tossed all the bad decisions in the trash and im starting over!
Tank size is 48"long 24" deep 31" tall 150 gal.
