Hello Everyone. I have been using the Red Sea test kit to test phosphate. The kit readings aren't as detailed as I would like at .02 / .04 / .08. Can anyone recommend a phosphate test kit that can give me more detailed precision at lower levels?
Tank from classifieds. Had live rock, turbo snail and few hermits, polyps barely hanging on. Removed stock Flouro top, added a clear glass top, skimmer, and heater. Built stand and canopy, housing 175W MH w/ Actinic lights. Frags from local shops.

I have a 220gal reef with 100g refugium and a reliable home built protein skimmer. medium/high flow in tank, x3 250W MH + 96W of T5 actinic on a 6hr cycle, minimal additives and few fish. The tank has been running solidly for more than 4 years with few changes. Nitrates have always been zero...
At the LFS last night I was asking about care for the Kenya Tree frag I bought, and the owner said just keep up with tank maintenance and replenish essential elements.
Up to this point, I've only really concentrated my tests on Ph, Alkalinity, Nitrites and Nitrates. For a nano reef tank should...

I need to refill our Mg test kit and I am wondering what people think are the best test kits at the moment. I have been using Salifert and would reorder them, but I have heard they are having some issues with reliability? I'm not sure if this is true, has anyone had any issues with them? Has...
For the past several months I have been dealing with cyano on my sand and on my rock. I was using tap water which in my opinion must have caused it. I have a 20 gallon tank with no sump that has been running for about 10 months. My flow is pretty strong (hydor korolia and a maxijet900 with...

I just spent three hours reading through the DSB myth thread and decided in all fairness to put up a pro DSB thread. Although I have not been in the hobby as long as many on here have. I research constantly for ways to improve the quality of life for the animals I choose to own. This is in no...
