I have a pacific blue tang that seems to have lost his color. His bottom half is more dark than blue. He is quite old I think. I have had him for at least 5 years and bought him used to begin with. Do they get darker with age? He has been this way for at least 4 months. tks
Hey Everybody -
So I'm starting to more seriously research fish as I will begin adding fish towards the end of this month and early next month. I have a 125 that I'm starting to set up as a reef. So far I've got a cabbage soft coral, some zoanthids, a red mushroom, and a couple of very small...
I've come to the conclusion that I'm just too busy recently to do a coherent job on 4 tanks. I have enough time and energy for 1-2 and as a result, all 4 are in various states of neglect.
I have a 75 gallon RR complete system that I am considering getting rid of, with about 40-60 lbs of rock...
I have a 72" 125g and already have a 2.5" Regal Tang and want one more Tang in my tank.
What Tang do you think I should get next?
I want to spend no more than $50.00

I would like to have a tang in my tank. What one would you recommend if i am able to have one in mine.

Sadly, I'm done with this hobby for a while. Just lost interest and want to get this all gone as quick as possible. Buyer pays shipping via USPS or UPS Ground. Prefer local pickup for all livestock, tank, stand and sump as they are large and I don't want to mess with any of that stuff.
A question for peppermint shrimp owners. First off so you know what I'm dealing with, I have a 60gal reef tank with sump, fuge, LR, LS, 5 chromis, pacific blue tang, 2 ocellaris, purple fire fish, neon goby, 2 cleaner shrimp, clean up crew, soft corals, and frog spawn, and green star polyps. I...
Hey Guys... Gals...I am Dave and I have been doing tanks for a few years now. I had a 46 gallon set up (fresh) that I used to keep discus in....until they got big and I got hungry for Sushi....just kidding....the discus were very cool but very hard to keep happy, so I gave them to my LFS in...
Ok here is the plans for my nano if i decide to continue with it:thumbup:
It will be a learning experience as well as fun. I have a 10 gallon that will be home to mushroom's and GSP's. I will have one fish not sure on the kind maybe a chromis or a damsel.

Just stumbled across the site and after looking around awhile thought I'd ask a question if I may.
I have a 75gal. tank with no coral. The livestock consists of a Percula Clown, Mandarin, Lawnmower Blennie, Pacific Blue Tang, 2 Skunk Cleaner shrimp, a Hermit crab and a few turbo...
Well first off I'll tell about my system and the madness behind it...
Initially it was setup last September and was BB. Everything was great with it until I really started slacking over this last spring and summer. I didn't really do anything to it for quite sometime and it was just in sad...

Hey all...question about a blue tang. My girlfriend really wants to add one to our tank...but i dont know much about them. My tank is a 75gal reef, only occupants are 2 perc clowns and a reef cleaner crew of snails and hermits. Would a blue tang be suitable to my tank? Any precautions? Anything...

I've been trying to take it slow on adding fish. I would prefer to stick to hardier...
I've got a couple of false percs and so far they want nothing to do with the bubble tip anenome. I've heard that if they are tank raised they may not have learned that habit. Do I have any better chance with true percs to get them to host the anenome? Anyone have any success with tank...

I have lost 4 clowns to what I think was the starfish, 2 of which I had since day one. I lost 2 Zebras of which I also had since day one. Now I lost the two new additions, a tomato clown, and a gold rim tang. He was the hardest to watch as there was noting I could do. The ICH went into his...
