Right now we have a Back Pak hang-on skimmer, but our new tank will have a sump (yay!). We've never purchased a skimmer that goes in the sump, so I'm not really sure what to look for. Can someone point me in the right direction? Brands to avoid? Reputable brands? This will be a 180 gallon.

So I got a price qoute on a 70 gallon tech tank with stand for $865 from my lfs. Before I take the plunge has anybody had any bad experiences with them? I've researched quite a bit and most people seem to really like them and I haven't found any complaints. This price also seems to be fairly...

So I got a free skimmer from Current. Its the Current Fission Recirculating Skimmer for 150g. I got it because of well lets say some inside connections. My plan was to get this and use it just till I got my ASM G2. But after seeing it up and running now I dont know. I see nothing wrong with it...

What is the best skimmer for a 75G? Of course price does matter but what would be really good with a GREAT track record that does not need to be modded after getting it.

The skimmer that I have is a Pro Clear Aquatic Systems skimmer that I believe is rated for a 75G tank. It has a Rio 600 pump on it. I can post a picture but that is all I can tell you about it. It came with my 90 gallon tank. After reading some of the threads on TRT, the "rule of thumb" is...

I am probably going to be getting a 28G nanocube with the HQI light. I am debating on the setup. It will probably have SPS/LPS and a clam with a few fish. BB or a thin sand layer (I like the look of sand much better)? Keep the filter media in the sump part? Care for the acrylic type tank...

Does anybody know why aquacave.com is no longer in the 'sponsors' area? I ordered my Octo nw-200 from them and am now looking to order some more stuff, but... they are no longer on TRT. Is something wrong, should I avoid ordering from them or something like that?
