    I've always called these 2 "Green hairy mushrooms" but after moving some things around to make room for new corals these guys opened up to about 7" across. Are they true mushrooms or nems of some type? I've also heard of elephant ears? Whats your thoughts?:confused:

    just wondering if it was true that macro algae reduces the nitrate levels in a tank. my levels are getting high and i am starting water changes. i am also going to be getting more live rock, live sand, and a better skimmer. these are all ways to reduce nitrate levels.....right?
