I am wanting to watch my calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium in my tank. Is the Red Sea Pro test kit better than buying Salifert individual test kits? Which of these test kits is easier to test with? Which one is better? How long does it take to test for each of these? Help me please!

I am wanting to check the calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium in my tank. Ive been doing research and seen Red Sea offers a test kit. Is that a good/accurate test kit? Would it be better to get individual test kits from another brand?

Howdy Folks, I'm in the market for a new RO/DI system. I'm in Canada, and it seems all the good RO/DI folks want to charge an arm-and-a-leg to ship the system to Canada. BUT! I found a Canadian dealer, who is offering a sort of neat 'build-your-own' system. Basically, just a customizable RO/DI...

I have a quick question for those of you that test with this. Does your phosphate test come back bright yellow if it's 0? Mine never has and is always more or less clear which isn't a color on the chart. Not the biggest deal but just wondering. :fish::fish::fish:

My daughter was kind enough to get a piece of argonite caught underneath my magfloat yesterday. Any suggestions for removing interior scratches in an acrylic tank? Are there any kits out there that are really good & don't require me to empty the tank of livestock?

after searching the net to buy a low range phosphate test kit... all I see is a couple reasonably priced ones that show .04 to .05 bottom levels... BUT with everyone commenting saying how much they stink. What is the proper kit for hard coral phosphate level detection and maintenance activities?

Do any of you use API calcium instead of Salifert? I heard they are pretty much just as accurate. I ask because my calcium was reading off the charts (in excess of 520) a few weeks ago and after 50% worth of water changes it is reading level at 520. With a dKH of 10.4, is this possible without...
