I use carbon a few days a month for clarity. I have been using the same bag of carbon a few times in a row. How many times should I use the same bag of carbon without replacing it? Or should I replace it after each use. Also, I use Kent Reef Carbon. Is this a good product? Thank you.

Hi all. I sold my frag tank, but held on to my phosban reactor b/c I thought I was going to use it on my main tank. Turns out I'm not going to do that, so now it's up for sale. It was used for less than 2 months. I had no problems with it and it did a nice job for me. I just don't have a need...

Good morning, I set up my first-ever 12g NanoCube last night and let the live sand settle overnight. I can already see the anemone on the live rock made it through the trip - thank goodness! I have read on here that a NC filtration system works better if you mod it slightly. The main thing...

Just curious, how long do you rinse your carbon before placing in the tank? I have never placed carbon in this tank with the skimmer and I apparently didn't rinse it long enough. My skimmer went black through 3 cleanings. Hope that I haven't hurt anything.

After using Penn-Plax Pro-Carb activated carbon, I believe it is the best carbon I have used to this point. The Pro-Carb comes in pellets that do not break up and get into your system water. Also, when I wash it out prior to use, no black water leaches from it after a few rinses and the...

I have a 15 gallon BB tank, it was supposed to be a softie tank, but due to all the trouble with the 50 it is now holding all my stonies (It is very crammed). The coral seems to be doing great (knock on wood), but I am worried about the leathers waging chemical war on the stonies. I would run...
