I prepared a salt mixture in a 5 gallon buck and i let it sit for 3-4 days and i just have an airsotne in there and i took a look today and there was a thin layer of white slime on the bottom so i mixed it and now theres all theese little particles floatin around. What should i do.

my alk/dKH kit came in today...the LFS guy tested his tank..it came to 8dKH wich is good.. 8-12 is where it should be...mine........IS AT 4 !!!!!! i tested several times & both tanks..its 4....his tested the SAME way at 8...am i still doing something wrong ?

I use Reef Crystals and do weekly to every 4th day water changes. I really keep up on my husbandry and my growth shows it.

In my 55 gallon fish only i have this hard green algae growing on my back glass and corners.
