Hello, At the pet shop I was greeted by the sight of a few Duncan coral frags (Duncanopsammia axifuga, I think?) that each had one polyp. Around here, Duncan corals go for £10 a polyp and most shops only sell them with multiple heads, so I jumped at the chance. Here it is! It began to open up...

I've had this duncan now for 7 days in my 20gal long. I have target fed it every other day. The guy at the LFS said the more I feed it the faster it will grow. However, I did have a slight ammonia jump a few days ago and I'm still battling it. I just did my third water change in 4 days. First...

My duncan seems a bit skinner, when I got it at the LFS it was alot thicker. Not sure what is wrong, I checked at the LFS and the other though colonies were the same size. I know the LFS runs the LPS tank a bit "dirtier" but that shouldn't matter? My parameters as follows: SG UNK -...

I went to Petco and bought a $13 frag of "whisker coral" it looks like a Duncan to me. The whisker coral is probably a common name? It's a cool little coral, but it's taking longer than normal to acclimate to my tank. I know petco keeps their SG @ 1.019, and mine is about 1.025-1.026. do...

I probably should have taken this picture with my dslr but it was much quicker with my phone. I just wanted to get some general feedback on my tank. It is the first reef tank I've ever setup myself and yes I know it's too small for the fish but I'm getting a 50 gallon next month.

After a couple of hours after i introduced it into my tank it opened right up and looked beautiful. My camera phone does not do justice to this beautiful coral. Today...

Just thought I'd share a couple new additions. They are about an inch+ across and love mysis. I'm open to options for permenent mounting placements. Do they reproduce like suns in a mat or do they branch? Thanks

ok, so my dumb clownfish started to host my duncans, but i don't think he realizes that they are way too small for him so he is really awkward around them and its really funny to watch. Ill try and post a video a little later, cant get it to work right now

Hi all, Looking for guidance here. My Duncan is showing some yellowing tissue on one of the heads and a cottony like growth...possible decay or fungus. I need advice as to what I should do here. Its a large piece with 30-40 heads and I don't want to frag this unless its the method of last...

I purchased a 3 headed duncan frag approximately 2 months ago. For the most part the frag seems healthy and has good color. My question is wether it's normal for the coral to close for days at a time, then open for a day or two then close again for several days? I try to feed it mysis shrimp 1...
