Hi. For the first time I tested the tank on magnesium and calcium. I’m planning to get corals soon. However I looked at the test readings and saw that the Mg is at 1600 also the calcium is at like 110. Is that to high? If yes can you please tell me how to lower them? Thank you :D

This uninvited creature came to my tank with a piece of live rock a few month ago. It started with just one polyp no bigger than a penny. Now I have a few more? Any idea what it could be? Thank you!

I'm just wondering if this is enough light. I have some Zoas, Mushrooms, and some soft corals. They seem to be growing (Larger) but not spreading. This is a 90g 48" wide 24" deep tank.

Last week, my wife and I bought our first three corals pictured below. They are in a 29g tank with a Banggai cardinalfish (that was bought the same day) and two clownfish that we've had for a while. No sump, no skimmer, no GFO, Orbit IC LED lights (currently on daylight for eight hours at 30%...

Bear with me. I’m a bit of a newbie/idiot when it comes to this hobby, and I’ve been doing the “trial by crisis” for a few years now. I am also long-winded, so I apologize. I have a RedSea Max 260, which has a 56-gallon display, 13-gallon rear-sump area, and a 30-gallon under tank sump, for a...

Hi everyone, My name is Delfina and I now live in Portugal. I ve had a fresh water planted aquarium for a few years. I have noticed that every night all of my soft corals close up within 10 minutes of the moonlight turning on, and sometimes my hammer coral will close a little too? All of the corals are healthy and growing. Does anyone have any Ideas why this might be occurring? Tank specs: 75g tank 20" sump...

I am seeking advice for my 65 gallon tank. It has mostly live rock and I want to add some coral or other items. The problem is that I have a pencil urchin that has been very good at eating algae down to the rock (mostly coralline). Yes, I know that urchins and corals don't mix well but I was...

I was wondering if my T8 bulb is sufficient for corals and fish? Yesterday I put a Hammer coral and Fiji Starburst and I'm wondering if that small bulb is enough. I read that I need 2 -4 watts per gallon.

Hi everyone! I was wondering where you all shop online for corals (even fish for future reference). I know live aquaria is a large one that people seem to have good experiences with, as well as vivid aquariums. Are there any smaller sites or groups that you all love/ trust? I know some...

I have been confused about this for a while now, but this is even more pertinent now that I am starting to get into coral: How close can you place corals to one another? Everyone says to give space between corals because of sweeper tentacles. However, there is a grow out period, and they have...

So its been awhile. My 55 gal tank broke and I finally just broke everything down..... But I so miss it. I am looking to get a new 55 but I don't want to do the regular fish/coral tank that i had before. I was thinking of doing just a coral tank with a crew such as shrimp, crabs, starfish.... Is...
