Received what is supposed to be a Christmas Tree worm rock. But the worms don't look like Christmas trees, they look like fans. Everything else is the same, multi colored, trap door, etc...they just don't look like Christmas trees. Is this the same worm? Or is it something different...

I've read that you should quarantine everything! After a year of ups and downs, I agree! So how do I medicate (quarantine) a Christmas Tree Worm Coral (Porites)? If one dips corals to kill flatworms and redbugs, then wouldn't Iodine (Lugol's) harm a Christmas Tree worm?

I found a very small crab hiding under my long tentacle anemone. No good picture yet, but het has red band on legs, 2 small pinchers and with one leg on either side he waves around what looks like a very small piece of a christmas tree worm, constantly collecting food in the water? Sorry not...

I currently have a 24 gallon Aquapod with the 150w HQI lighting (plan to upgrade to a 90-120 in <4mo). About a week ago I added a beautiful Long Tentacle Anemone to my 75 gallon reef tank. For the first few days it and one of my maroon clowns rolled around the tank together. Now for the last 48 hours he has been missing in action. The clown is still around but there has been no sign of the Long...

It's been forever since I posted in here but since I took over the buisness I've just not had enough time to dedicate to this tank. There are a bunch of nice things in this tank that are fairly expensive. I'd like to sell the whole thing to one person cause we all know that parting out a reef...

Show us yours. :) I got a purple-tip anemone a few weeks ago and want to compare him to some others, as far as how he looks. I'm wanting to learn more about them and I figure this is a fun way to start ID-ing different kinds. Thanks!
