Hello TRT good morning from Miami. Anyway I just bought two cleaner shrimp yesterday, acclimated them, put them in the tank and they started pulling some acrobatic maneuvers. They really are fun to watch except now they really attached themselves to one fish...my bullet goby. Before the cleaner...
Hi Everyone! I bought a new fish last week and I want all of you to help name her. She is a beautiful Starry Blenny so she can't have just any ol name. I've posted a few I'm considering but feel free to make other suggestions as well.
I have a 150 reef tank and I'm having a bit a a algae problem(started another thread about that). This has made me wonder if I have enough guys and girls in my clean up crew? I have about 5 turbo snails and about 5 hermit crab along with a bullet goby and a sand sifting conch.
I have a 150 reef tank with a 30 gallon sump. A few weeks ago I noticed a little patch of hair algae on one of my ph and another small patch on the glass. I also noticed the the back wall of the tank was slowly being covered by green and red algae not hair algae like on the ph this...
I wrote a week or so ago about finding a small patch of hair algae on a ph and glass in my tank.
Well today I found a patch of green(dark emerald green) on my lr. The patch is small and not hair like more like velvet.
I dont understand why I'm getting this algae.
I do my water...
:help:Hey so I have a 100 gal conrner with plenty of LR and it is fish only tank I have had really good luck with a yellow corris and three cromis. I also have a bullet goby. However my problem came when I added a purple sea slug and my Clown Wrasse... I have added other fish and they all end up...
would i be risking it if i put both of these fish in my tank?
I really like the tail spot, but i know the bullet goby does a great job of cleaning the sand and thats what i am looking for. Plus i have read that the bullet gobies are easier to keep then the other sand sifting gobies
It was warm enough to get out in the garage and start my stand today so I thought I would also start a build thread. Here is a run down of my system as it is today. (I change my mind a lot)

30 gallon sump

Next week my friends are coming from Albany to go fish shopping.
I'm very excited about adding something new to the tank but have no idea what to add. I'll have roughly 100 bucks to spend.
Ive decided not to add any more fish to the tank so I'm hoping you can give me a few...

I have been feeding my tangs a strip of nori every day. Well they are messy eaters. little pieces or nori have littered the sand bed. My cleanup crew doesnt do a good job cleaning up the mess.
Any thoughts on additional critters I can add that have a taste for nori.
I actually have great flow...
I would like to have a tang in my tank. What one would you recommend if i am able to have one in mine.
i know people recommend a min of a 6 foot tank. but some of the articles i have read on tangs a few of the tangs state a min of 75 which is a 4 foot tank.
Anyone have one? Just wondering cuz we have a few at the LFS and I watched them all weekend while I worked... they were kindof cool...do they sift and then spit the sand all over the tank or sift and then just let it spill where they are? Also, do they eat the good stuff out of the sandbed?
As most of you know Ive been having a problem with flatworms and pyramid snails. I think my scooter blenny may be eating the flat worms because hes getting really fat and they are disappearing. The pyramid snails are going strong.
I bought a tiny 6 line 3 weeks back only to watch my...
Its been over a week now since I saw my yellow wrasse so I'm assuming he's a goner.
Tomorrow I'm planning to try another fish but what kind? I'm going to go to the store where the owner refused to sell me a fish unless I waited a week and have my water tested first.
I have two...
