I am at a standstill with my reef tank. I presently have a yellow tang, bicolor angel, 2 ocellaris clownfish and a yellow watchman goby. Wanted to add a firefish and 3 blue green chromis but one of the chromis harassed all the others to death while in quarantine. I am returning the surviving...
  2. Reef Fish
Just recently adopted several new fish from someone in the area. It didn't seem like he took good care of his livestock. His setup was sketchy as well. The fish all have torn fins and went into shock in the 30 minutes it took us to get them home and into acclimation. Because of this a (6")...

Added a bicolor angel a few days ago and have not seen it since, except once or twice hiding deep in the rock crevices. The only thing I can imagine is that he is afraid of my clowns. Normal behavior after 3 days? Hopefully the angel will at least come out to eat soon. I'm afraid it will starve.

Is their a limit to time when acclimating a fish with drip acclimation. I wanted to get a bicolor angel and they are a more delicate species. So I should take about 2-4 hours to acclimate it correct? Or does it need to longer or shorter?? THank you in advance!:D

Fish To Be Avoided: (fish that have incredibly low survivability in aquaria or are totally unsuitable for home aquaria) Moorish Idol (a few success stories but miniscule amounts live long, difficult feeder, mystery deaths, and even when accepting prepared foods often slowly starves)...

Me and my girl are looking to take a vacation near the end of summer/early fall... I was just wondering where in the Carribean is there good reef diving? I have never been and I would love to see a real coral reef.

Well, who am I kidding? It was bound to happen so why resist? Over the last few months the wife and I have talked about what would be my summer project this year since she knows that I HAVE to have something to occupy my time otherwise insanity sets in. I told her that my plan was to teach a...

Hi guys, I am posting this on behalf of my parents since I am visiting them right now. They have a very well-established (5+ years old) 6 foot long marine tank, sand bottom, with fish and coral. Recently they've gotten a pretty bad aiptasia infestation, which I guess started when one...
