I ordered some fish/inverts from a different vendor... nothing too unusual, but nice to get something new... and... you can use your new discount if you were lucky enough to get a UPC. I'm not positive the barcode works, so you may have to enter the code at the bottom or have them to enter it as...
OK, its been a while, but I wanted to make a selection to what I might or can get and not just leave it up to everyone else :read:
I located what I can with the free time which was available to me for I need now to move to the next step and make a fish selection for which SPS corals will be...
I've been reading through various threads and have gotten LOTS of great info! This is a fantastic online community, so I figured I'd post here.
I'm looking to setup my first saltwater aquarium and have some ideas of what I want in it, but I've gotten so much contradictory information, I don't...
How is this stock list for a new 75 Gallon Tank? Is everything reef safe / non-aggressive / compatible? I want to create a goal for the tank that I can work towards, while adding maybe 1/2 things a month...

Good day fellow reef fanatics. I thought I would get the camera out today and take some shots of the tank, now a full five months since the massive crash and burn brought on by a power outage. With the help of tdwyatt and wiskey, kudos guys :agree: , I have the tank chemistry balanced, my Ca...
Ok i love inverts more than fish, some people say i am crazy but i like the creepy crawly things in my tank. Right now i have some blue leg hermits, a serpent star, many Astraea snails, Feather duster, coral banded shrimp.
What other inverts would be good to add to my 72gallon reef?
Ordered some zoa frags and just got the notice that they've been delivered to my house! Only problem is that I'm at work  . Guess I will have to try to run home during lunch and get them into the tank
This is a photo of a banded serpent star from my old reef tank. I think its a pretty cool picture, other's opinions may differ ;)
If I remember correctly, this shot was taken in macro mode on my digital camera in conjunction with some close-up filters and flourescent filters.
can i feed scarlet hermit crabs algae wafers? its I.S.O brand algae wafers and i use it for my fw fish but is says can be fed to marine too.
will the hermits eat this? theres not much left on the live rock for them and im afraid they will starve
the tank is now 9 days old, amonia has dropped to...
does anyone have an invert coral only tank with no fish?
i was thinking of just going with corals and inverts like shrimp, crabs, and a banded serpent starfish in my 10g
would the tank be healthier like this with no fish?
As most of you know, I'm cycling up my first tank and I'm trying to decide if the time is right to get a clean-up crew into the tank. The tank's been cycling since Jan. 14. At this point, I saw a bloom of blue-green algae that's already gone away and now I'm seeing filamentous algae...

1 - 2" Yellow Tang
1 - 2.5" Hippo Tang
1 - Psychedelic...
Today I was at a Local LFS and came across a Beatiful BLue Linka Star. I held of on buying it because I know nothing of their requirements and or if they are reefsafe and will they be ok with a black banded serpent star in the same tank. I realy love the color of these guys and would like to...
OK, I'm an idiot. Ive been reading my alk test wrong and dosing with reef buffer...my alk is almost 9. I just got a calcium test kit, and its 800+ (coraline algae is loving it). I'll do a 20% WC tomorrow...
