So this algae is growing in the air hose of my skimmer. Is this a sign of something bad or just. Amateur so occurrence? Should I remove it or is it ok to just leave it?

I'm not sure if this is algea or what but I just wanted to get you opinions and make sure it's not something bad. I have a purple "algea?" That is growing on one of my live rocks. It's dark purple/black looking and feels fuzzy. It grows in kind of a veiny pattern.
