Thanks!!!!You guys really nailed it with the suggestion on replacing bulbs in fixture.It's been 4 days now and not a sign of growth of cyno on rocks or sandbed.Did'nt realize that light degradation was so profound.Also added a phosphate pad since phos was a little high.My fish,coral and I thank you!

MY 100 gal tank has been up for 7 months now. All water test are good except nitrate at about 15. I got a new light 3X250 MH with 320 watt blue Power Compacts. Every thing was going O.K. I got anouther 35 lbs of rock from a friend out of his tank. since then diatoms just wont go away...

lately, in my refugium, the cheato has been getting small bubbles all over it and rising to the surface, and the bubbles have started moving to the rocks in there. i'm also getting some purple slime alge in there too. are these Good? Bad? what should i do?
