Have any of you had any experience using a PVC structure to attach live rock to? I am setting up a 225 gallon tank with the overflow at one end and I want to stack my rock sloping down from the end but would like to keep the area under the rock open for fish to swim through. I am never happy with my rock work.:help: Yesterday I spent 2 hours re-arranging after I caused a major avalanche. I would love to re-aquascape once and for all. I would love some pointers. Take a look at my pictures. Any feedback, positive or negative would be greatly appreciated. Where do I...

I am seriously considering switching my 75 reef over to a bare bottom system. I have a couple of questions about supplies though. I am thinking about doing Fly Guy's Acrylic Rock Lifts using a piece of 3/4" HDPE and 3/4" acrylic rods. I need to know if I am looking at the right stuff to do...

A brief background, as this thread was inspired by another person looking to build rock supports. Many of the DIY rock lifts I have seen built here on TRT are quite good! I intend to make one myself, as I like the benefits which come from using them. However… My issue is one...

Not sure how else to describe this, but has anyone ever created a porus sub floor to have the live rock somewhat lifted up off of the bottom to allow more flow under it? like using a pvc or something drilled out a lot to push water under the rock? thanks for any thoughts

I bought some marine epoxy when I was aquascaping my tank and its awful! It didn't hold my rocks together at all. I tried mounting corals with it too and all you have to do is brush against them and they come off the rock.
