I have a 400 Watt MH ballast. I was wondering if it is possible to run two seperate 175 MH from it instead. I would much rather have two lights than one. Has anyone else tried it ever?
As far as I know it will only run a single 400 bulb. You could use the single with a Spuderlight reflector or similar and vho bulbs which would give a bright area for clams and such and lower light areas on each end of the tank for shroom and such.
Yeah thats what I figured but it couldn't hurt to ask. I actually did exactly what you said and I had the metal halide on one side and I had 4 55 watt PC's for awhile but I was looking for something new. Wish I would have bought an IceCap from the begining.
