Both of these have been referred to as green hairy mushrooms. Can anyone give me a more specific identification?

The first one is about 3 inches across. The second one is actually seven separate shrooms about 1 to 1 1/2 inches.

Thanks. Rick

Hello again, Rick O

Shrooms can be difficult to ID visually, but let's give yours a shot up to Genus level at least.

The top pic seems to depict either an endangered "Ricordea" from your hemisphere, or more likely a Discosoma/Actinodiscus.

The bottom suggests either a Rhodactis, or again more likely one of the furrier Discosoma/Actinodiscus shrooms. You can try to search for those Generic names among online hobbyist tank-photo galleries, and hope to find a pic that SUGGESTS a match.

Sorry this is so little help.

the second one looks like some that I have, same as page 99 in PGTC, lower right corner the round pic. As too species who knows, taxonomy in these animals is uncertain, Discosoma or Actinodiscus genera, species uncertain. Sorry I cant be of more help
