    George,
Just viewed the post from Perry. You're right, in my opinion. I suspect the other mods will agree and we'll edit that sentence out. I'll then send an explanation and caution to Perry.

I'm no longer the host of the morning show on WBTN....the board of three made me an offer I had to refuse. When our radio station is led by people who don't know what good radio is....they fail.

I'm so sorry that you contributed to a station that is destined to fail due in par3t to bad management.

I'd call and ask what was on their mind to force my resignation.

    Friends for ever!

We haven't watched the Pats & Colts yet, so I don't dare come out of the clost for breakfast. Haha. Save me a spot.

Hi I am new to salt water, had fresh water for years. I really love a good challenge, and I can tell you for me, I really want to do this with tap water. I will have a filter on the tap, and i will be treating my water, and letting it sit for days on end before i do anything. I have read both negative and positive about tapwater. Many people have great luck with it. Im a very patient person. The new tank I will be starting is a 29 gallon bio cube. My question is, do you have any experience with this? I just want to ad live rock, live sand..all the needed treatments, top with distilled water, make salt water using filtered tap. A few fish, maybe a coral or 2...R/O would be to expensive an investment for me, as I have a house to pay for, taxes, you name it. I also have a water bill, so I need to keep that way down. They tax the heck out of us here in New Hampshire, its crazy, so cutting corners is a must. I will test and retest, and bring samples in for testing also. I do not jump into things, ive been doing alot of reading. I have the tank here, and it will sit in the box till I am comfortable with all the info. Thankyou!...

Just set up my 29 BC. Used Nutiri Sea Water, Live Sand, Live Rock and Base Rock I've been storing since I broke down my 55, 8 years ago.
After a week my Ammonia was zero. I added two Small Clowns to kick in the cycle. What can I expect My parameters to look like. Currently I have the following
    Ph-8.1 Ammon-0.0 Nitrite- 5.0 Nitrate-5.0
Thanks in advance for any help, advice and tips.
Starting to see a bloom on the live rock.
Also I have more base rock to add and bring back to life but would like to wait to start adding corals first to see what I need. Is that ok?

Hi, I being reading on this forum for quite a bit already and I can tell you know your stuff, always short and precise with your answers.
If you don't mind I will like some advice, I have a 55 gal for 1 1/2 year and recently added a 40 gallons for frags and everything is connected to one sump 40gal on garage.
Since I added the 40 frag tank I noticed that my frags are looking better on the small tank, brighter colors and more polyp extension.
The lights on the 55 are two 250 MH 14K that I run for 5 hours (on periods of 1 to 2 hs a the time) and supplement with two PC 34" 96W (one 10,000k and the other 50/50 actinic) total about 12 hs
The 40 gallons have also one 250W MH 14k on similar timing but supplemented with two T5 (Giesemann Aqua blue + 36" 39W and Giesemann Actinic Plus). Also about 12 hs total.

I'm thinking to replace the PC Coralife for T5, but not sure if that's the case.

    Thanks,

I pulled up an old post of yours and found out you had a niger trigger and had no problems with him. What size? Did you have him in a reef? Did he eat hermits? Coral Band Shrimp or cleaner shrimp? The LFS has a 3" Niger that would look great in my 75 that I am cycling now. Could I put a bicolor angel in with him? Maroon CLown?
