Google Earth: Saltwater Fish & Coral Reef Aquarium Keepers of the World
Are you interested in being aware of a larger Reef Keeping community? Saltwater Fish & Coral Reef Aquarium Keepers of the World is a 3d interactive globe, visually listing Saltwater Clubs and Individuals using Google Earth .
To view the interactive 3D world map:
1) Download & Install the Free Google Earth from http://kh.google.com/download/earth/index.html
2) Click on "Open this Placemark" at the top of this Google Earth post( http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthrea...0/Number/90950 ). This is the file that will be updated; so to get the latest version just download it again.
If you are interested in being listed, please send me the following information:
- Club: Name of Club, Location(city to center placemark on), TRT or RC Forum URL
- Individual: Real Name, Address, www.TheReefTank.com or www.ReefCentral.com user id, [Tank Size, Lighting, Types of coral kept] (While I need your address to place a placemark for you it will not be listed)
You can find out more in three places:
Google Earth BB
TheReefTank BB
ReefCentral BB
Here is a screen shot of North America with the current Clubs and Individuals shown. The interactive version allows you to zoom in an out and move freely across the globe. This way it is easy to see your fellow Reef Keepers around you:

That's a good idea, only problem, although I DO have a neighbor about 500 yards away, the next one is about 3 miles down the road...
every now and then I hear someone's dog in the (far) distance...
or are those coyotes?
