Where did everyone go ??
This forum had been going strong for a while and now it's dead.
Where did everyone go ??? Or did the aquarium fairy turn your Nano's into a 125 ???

I wish a fairy would just drop a 125 on me. Seriously though, had a bit of an oops tonight. I was changing my water and rearranging some rock and my tuxedo urchin fell and broke like an eggshell. Not too cool, I felt like an idiot.

sorry to hear...
I had to return my long spine urchin the other day because it got way to big for my tank. He was about 8 or 9" across and lived in a 30 gallon

Sorry to hear about the Urchin.
I had a similar oops a few weeks back. A Bristle Star was slowly digging out the sand underneath my LR and the LR was starting to lean twords the front glass. I reached in the tank and rearragnged the LR just a little to stand it up straight again. In doing so I burried a Pepermint shrimp between the LR and the sand. I felt really bad cause he had done such a wonderfull job getting rid of the few Aptasia I had.

I'm here. Are we confessing our sins?
I burned a couple of corals by scraping salt creep off of my center brace and letting it fall into the tank.

It's good to hear that I'm not the only one who experiences bad luck from time to time. CK, I had similar luck with my peppermint shrimp. They seem to devour aptasia!

I'm still here and still have my nano as well... but sometimes it just seems like questions regarding tanks get answered more in the general forum since there are more people browsing through there.
However, I do have one question though!
In my 10G, I have-->
1 false perc
1 peppy shrimp
6 blue leg hermits
LS + 20lbs LR
What would be the order of ammonia contributors from great to small? Thanks.

definatly the perc first
I think a toss up between the shrimp and the hermits. Depends on the size of the shrimp and the size of the hermits.
ALso LR can in some instances contribute to ammonia depending on whats happening in the LR.
LR is sort of a catch 22 it can contribute ammonia while at the same time be processing ammonia. Really depends on the LR and whats happening with it. Of course fresh LR is more likely to be contriuteing ammonia and well established is probably processing it.

I had a bad case of a fish disease in my 20g...It killed 3 clown fish total. First it was a mated pair of Skunks that I had for 3 months, then about 3 weeks later I put a Tomato clown and he bit it in the same manner. The tank water dropped by a couple of degrees a couple of times and each time it correlated with the disease breakout...Maybe it was Brookynella?? But I hope not. I left the tank without fish for a few weeks and ran some stuff called revive. The tank is baically void right now with theexception of an anemone and a dusky jawfish. I thonk I'm going to try another Tomato Clown and restock it with frags...
On the flip side, my 6g mantis tank is running strong with the peacock.

I've been rather depressed about my tank recently... and just sort of quit checking in here at TRT. I have an algae MESS on my hands, and I have to get my RO water from Publix... but my transmission blew out recently, and with no way to get good clean water my tank is getting uglier by the day.
Fortunately I got my car repaired (for a small fortune of course) and I'll see what I can do about cleaning my tank and doing a much needed water change tomorrow.
I guess on the bright side the ARC meeting is near my house next week and I get to pick up my DIY moonlight stuff from Charles!

Let us know if we can be of any help.
I'll be at tyhe meeting. If you bring you hood in w/ you we could probably install the lighting right at the meeting. Or I can give you a quick run down on how to install and you can do it at home at a latter date. EIther way doesn't matter. LEt me know what you think.

I'll bring my hood and you can just give me a quick rundown if that's cool. I have a dremel and soldering equipment at home, so I should be okay with some pointers. If there is any spare heat shrink tubing left that would be handy though!

Good deal Owen. There is heat shrink all ready in the kit but I'll add a few extra pieces just in case you need to redue something along the way. It goes together really easy so it shouldn't be a problem for you at home.
Edited cause I got your two names mixed up and had the wrong one listed --- sorry.
