Whats going on help


HI

I just set up a tank FOWLR, no fish yet just been up and running over a week,
I have a large worm, lets say I did.
Al was fine last night, woke up this moring and tank covered in cobweb string stuff, Large worm floating ontop, few other little floating around. I think they were bristle family.
Also tank smell and id dirty cant see very well throught it.

Any help please, I would be greatful,
Red fan Thing still alive and out.

Um I have also had those cobweb things... I believe they came from animals inside my LR and I did lots of water changes to clear them out.

It sounds like you had some die off from your rocks... even though your cycle is not over yet, I would suggest a water change if your water smells bad.

BTW what red fan thing?

Can you tell us more about your set up? It might help us answer you more accurately

Hi

The red thing fan worm, dont know actual name.

Another guy said ammonia spike, due to die off.
Water is clearing now almost back to normal, smell gone. Was holding back on water change due to tank still cycling.

Did test today
Nitrite 5
Ammonia 60
Nitrate160

Do you see any small tubes that look like they should have feather dusters in them? I'm still looking into your cobweb description and think it may be vermetid snails?
