I believe that is a heater, but I'm not positive.

thats what i thought it was too, but its under "D.I.Y. Chillers" so i was unsure... and at that price, i would love a chiller like that. i just cant see how it would work.

It's a thermoelectric module. When electricity is supplied to it one side gets warm while the otherside gets cool; known as the peltier effect. I have a few chiller plans in the works that implement them.

Search around tho, you can get 200+ watt modules for around $12 each.

I would love a DIY chiller, since the only thing stopping me from getting one right now is the price. If you come up with a plan, you should post a thread. That would be an awesome project.

yeah i totally agree with nk290, the price is the only thing holding me back... i guess for now, i'll focus on this addition to my list of mods for my tank, seems like a simple way to decrease the temp easier for now: http://nanotuners.nanocustoms.com/na...roducts_id=117
