Water Change water heating?

For my 5.5 gallon nano I plan to do my first water change soon. I would like to do a 1 gallon water change. But I am unsure of how to heat it. I have a 50 watt heater, but Will that be over kill to heat up 1 gallon of water?

I usually just use air stone to airate my mix for 24+ hours and it is ready to go, no need to adjust temp.

I don't heat mine either but it's usually just a gallon or two. I just get the water, ad the salt, and stick a PH in there to mix it for 12-24 hours.

as long as it's room temp you will be fine. reefs get cold currents from time to time.
