Want to get a Nano for the office
I'm looking at getting a tank for the office. What does everybody thinkg about the biocube's and the aquapods? Or am i better of just getting a 20-30 gallon tank of my own and doing it from scratch?
I was looking at the 29 gallon biocube too. This would be my first smaller tank, i've had a 55g pretty much flaw free and have moved it twice with no deaths.... please let me know with your experience...

For about 1 1/2 I ran it stock with Leathers, Shrooms, Xenia I have upgraded the lights a few times 1st I added a retro that added another 72w of light for a toal of 144w PC. I just recently replaced the hood all together with a MH pendant.
No sump- approx 5g water changes every 2-4 weeks

So you don't use a skimmer in this or anything do you? what media do you have in the back of the tank? Is it loud? i meet with clients so i wouldn't want that to distract them.

No skimmer, I left the sponges in the 1st compartment (I rinse them every waterchange in fresh water) took out the center sponges (put carbon in there occasionally) - no heater and it's very quiet to me

were there bioballs in your tank when you bought it? I found one at a local fish store for 200 bucks, 29 gal... It seems like a good deal and is very tempting... I thought his had bioball in a chamber though...

Trust me a thriving Nano Reef will distract anyone that comes into your office. But that can be a good thing if you want them to stay longer.
I do installs/maintenance specializing in Nanos for a living and have half of the office asking questions about this and that.

Before we relocated My wife had a Aquapod 24 in her office at work, Everyone always stopped in to say hi and take a look, any kids that went to visit would end up in her office. Nice to have at work, relaxing, Now the tank with fish are in our home.
