Update on my Minibow 2.5

Well.....I wish I could say that everything was cool with it but that is not the case. Rather it wasn't the case, but I think that it is now. I have made some very good mistakes with my little 2.5, and learned some very good lessons.

My tank completly crashed about two weeks ago due to several things. 1. accidentally putting too much Kalkwasser in into the system via top off water. 2. sickly leathers that have not since recovered. 3. Renegade Nudi Branch that decided to sacrifice it's self.

All in all that little incident really helped me learn alot and set up the tank more the way that I have wanted to for a while. I got som new substrate form my g/f's Nano and used a little of it for my new set up. Now for the update part, I now am running 18 watt PC lights, with some new tank buddies. I bought an assain pepperment shrimp to govenate the aptasias, I moved my damsel out of the tank all to gether, rescued a plate coral from my roomies tank, got a ricordia, and a small mat of GSP's. As of right now the tank looks really healthy and clean, and my pod population is going throgh the roof. But for now until I can get stuff with my tank just right I am not going to touch it. I am going to wait until I see Coraline growth in the tank before any more coral goes in. I am looking into making my own DIY moon light for both my G/fs and my tank, as well as either a mini remora skimmer knock off or a mini fuge. I will have update pics tommorow.

Sorry to hear about your past problems but if you learned from the mistakes then it might not have been all in vain. Glad to hear it's getting back in order.

As you probably know 2 meetings ago we made DIY moonlighting for our Nano's. The workshopshop was a huge success so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Also consider an additional red LED circuit controlled by a push button for additional night viewing when you want it. The sub-assemblies we used in the moonlighting workshop had the power takeoff for this future expansion which we will do within the next few meetings.

Also I probably have 2 extra moonlight sub-assembly kits if your interested. --- If so PM me.
