Nanos arent really that hard to maintain once the tank parameters are stable and not jumping all over the place. At that point its just religiously staying on top of your water changes and topping off when needed (almost daily for some).

In the summer, if you don't have air conditioning, and no chiller, you have to keep a close eye on the temperature.

I agree with the other posts however I haven't had problems with keeping my nano at the correct temp but that's probably because I'm in the northwest. Also I would say that any problem with water perameters shows up much more quickly and the results can be MUCH worse in a nano. A dead fish might not even show up as an issue with a 100g but in a 5g it could really be bad but that kind of goes hand in hand with what Twelve Volt was saying about water changes. Because of this I prefer to have a much larger skimmer than you would think necessary but I like the security that it gives me.
