TRT Nano Biuld Off?????
Why don't we put on a lil biuld off of our own? Everybody else is doin it. Maybe we could even convince some of the big guys to toss in a few frags or maybe even a stint as TOTM for a grand prize.

That's why I ended up joining ReefMonkey's, there didn't seem to be a lot of interest in it for some reason. For me it was a good excuse to set up a nano. It'd be nice to win a prize (at least some kind of recognition) but the real object was just to have a nano.

Some of us have limited resources VWD. Although I do feel that there should be at least one custom feature. LIke my 30, I am cutting the glass for an external overflow. Just bought the rotozip and bits, wish me luck.

well I am not in it for the prize I just liek seein all those cool build threads. I think build off are to short term. Make the time frame like. say, a year and you could get alot more people to try it.

I too would be more interested in sharing building techniques and viewing the construction threads. Maybe we can decide on some rules and post in GRD to see if we can get some more people.
I was thinking a 30 or 40 gallon system; no more than 20 for the display and up to 10/20 for a sump.
How many people for a minimum?
I plan on building a nano regardless of a build-off, but it would be cool to get some others to try. Nothing quite beats a well designed nano.

I would be interested aswell!
I have enjoyed reading the updates of Reefs.org site, in reference to their Nano Reef Build off. They also seemed to have a few prizes; not that this would be my primary motivating factor, or second or third. But the prizes could be fun, none the less.
I think it would be fun for TRT to create a nano build off of some sort, and see what all the great minds on The Reef Tank can come up with.
I have been interested in creating a nice 10 gallon nano, with a sump for quite some time.
Is it possible to get some sort of organized nano build off going on TRT, with TRT taking the lead on this?
Neil

I would also love to have a go at this, I was thinking around 5 gallons with sump.. and a custom cabinet. Like to woodwork also. Sounds fun, and I love to build things.
