Question

too much flow?

Ok so my custom nano is almost up and running...the tank measure 24"L x 14"D x 12"H....there is also a back section that measures 4" deep with the skimmer and a Quiet one 3000 on the ruturn split on both sides. My question is will a seio 620(620gph) for a tank this size if it was in the middle back?

What kind of sand? My only worry would be sand blowing around. I have a Seio 820 in my 29gal tank blowing the length of the tank and have no problems with sandstorms using southdown.

well i think i might ditch that and just split off the pump running to the skimmer(520gph) and just have a locline spray in the middle to break up the flow
