Tank for my desk at work

Heya folks,

I looked at this a bit, but I am trying to sort out the perfect work tank. I am hoping to get a cheap Wally World or Eclipse tank that will be unattended for a couple of days a week. Five or ten gallons seems about right with retrofit lighting in the 4W/gallon range.

Can some softies and a couple of puny fish live without eating like this? Any suggestions? I am thinking maybe a small goby, a pistol shrimp and a cardinal or clown.

Also, if I take rock cured from the big tank and new arogonite along with my water will it cycle?

For a really nice looking setup (although A bit more pricey) I would look into a Minibow 7. Add a HOB filter and maybe a small power head for circulation. A 50 watt heater and there you have it. Lighting is always a big debate but with that tank you can easily retro in a 1 x 32 watt which would allow you a huge range of corals to keep.

If you wanted something a little more color cordinated you could go with a Minibow 5.

Doing the tank now in the lobby with a stand. I think an HoB will do fine for a skimmer.
