I would say total volume of water no more than 30gal(tank, sump, skimmer, auto topoffs, and anything else that would hold tank water) would be a good limit.

Depending on when the build off is and how much money i have at the time i plan on being a part of it.

The other part to that is how do i explain to my parents that i will be adding another tank and were to put it. They didnt really want the second tank that i got for my lion but i had to get him in a seperate tank or he was going to die. I will see what i can do with getting a 3rd tank.

I'm pretty much in for now, about to get a new puppy so might need to devote the money to him.

I think we should give it a day or two to make sure of the interest. I'll write up the rules and get agreement from the participants.

One other element needs to be decided: Winners. One overall winner or a couple of categories, to be offered up? What say ya'll?

I vote 20g. total, auto top-off doesn't have to be counted as part of the system since it is only refilling it. I wouldn't count a jug full or water just the same, only to top-off not circulate system water. Pretty sure I am in just have to finish a couple other projects to justify starting another one. although the thought of this one makes me feel better about the stuff I don't care to do.

Yardboy, I think a couple categories will be great. I think in doing that it will take a lot of intimidation out, some people won't sign up do to cost and the fact that we have some people building who really know their stuff. If we keep it true to trt fashion, fun and flame free, I think we'll have an awesome turnout.IMO
