suggestions for a 10 gal

ok so im in the midst of setting things up right now i have everything set up and running, with live sand and 5lbs of live rock (hoping to get another couple of lbs in the neer future., so far so good.

but now im thinking where to take this...

cant afford GREAT lighting right now, so if i was to go reef id be VRY restricted on corals ect...so was thinking about doing liverock and fish/clean up crew. mabe a few low lighters untill i can get a deacent light for it.
opinions?!

my next question would be stock for such a small tank, im in love with percular clowns, many of the damsels, a few of the goby species and of course some of the snail species and blue leg, scarlet and zebra hermit crabs.

im positive id like at least one of each of the 3 dwarf hermies, how many of these little hermits would be too much in a 10 gal?

also ive seen people with a pair of percular clowns in a 10 gal, is this ok and workable and is there anything else fish wise i could add with the clowns.

im looking for activity, colour and personality!

tips suggestions ect.
this is a very SIMPLE basic saltwater with live rock and sand and my first go at such a set up, (i used ot have a saltie but it was over 200 gals!) all critters and fish added should be hardy species.

thanky muchly!

What lights do you have now? If you do not have a lot of money you could go with some PC or T5 lights. Stay away from the damsels. In the long run you will want them out. Clowns are good. With a tank that size you might only be able to get 1-2 small fish. Do you have a sump on the tank? Snails, blue legs, scarlets, and zebras are good. Just do not get to many. Do you like shrimp at all?

yeah, my biology final is an ecosystem project...
so ive decided for a reef since my dad wont let me keep reptiles in the house and i wanted a nano reef anyways, once its graded and such ill start upgrading the system as money allows.

its a pretty cool project to be able to do, right now i have the sand and live rock, been 3 days all readings are comming up perfect which is awsome! but havent seen any movement of anycritters that could have been in the rock...i did cure it pretty well though (terrified of introducing pests to the system) but hey 3 days isnt long realy so im not worried, its fiji rock, lots of very pretty purples pinks and greens in the rock.

any suggestions for some low light corals/polyps ect that will work with the dwarf hermits, snails and clowns...
ID LOVE an anemone, but im allergic to bee stings so know if i managed to brush that id be in trouble (this is also the thing currently steering me clear of setting up a lrger system with a lionfish lol) i knwo for some reason id have to put my hands in and with my luck lol.)
i also know my tanks rather small for an anemone...

so low light corals ect that have lots of colour, EASY to grow/keep and mabe something with the same kind of flowing movement anenome have.

thanks

I would say zoos and mushrooms would do good in a low light tank. Dwarf hermits, snails, and clowns are all reef safe for the most part. A Long Tentacle Plate Coral looks like a anenome but is more of a moderate light coral. But they can get big. Not a lot of things I can think of that look like anenomes. Just ask if you have any more Qs the TRT will help you get a good grade.
