skimmer or no


just setting up my first nano, wondering how everyones going about it. do u run a skimmer or no, and which one if u do.

If you look at the nasty stuff that skimmers pull out, i cant imagine not using one, why not if you can ya know!

Agreed. If you want it to be a real killer nano, I think a skimmer would be beneficial. heck, look on ebay even, theyre cheap for used ones. Just slap a new powerhead on one!

I tried a fission on the 5.5 and the nano cube for me regular water changes are less of a hassle

I had a skimmer on a 5 gallon hex.I would put one on a 1 gallon tank.

i run my 3 gallon Picotope From JBJ with out a skimmer and only change the water once a month because there is no Livestock only 2 Xenia Frags

i have two 12g nano's and a 15g tall, all are skimmerless, but id really really like to have them skimmed! just trying to figure out a way how
