shrimp?

I have read a couple different places that say shrimp are better kept in a large tank. Is it all right to keep 1 common cleaner shrimp or maybe 1 of those blood red fire shrimp in a 12 gallon? will these out grow the tank?

That would be perfectly fine.

My friend has 2 peppermint and 1 fire shrimp in a 10 gallon. They are very fun to watch.

The peppermints are crazy mine is nocturnal I guess, since the only time I see it out is when I go for work at 5am (ocasionally). Anyway the thing is wild - it will crawl on my hand, very friendly critter. Plus it eats apastasia whoo! Anyway I have one blood and one peppermint in my 24 so yeah at least one would be okay in a 12, maybe more.
