They do best under power compacts or indirect metal halide. You can't have them under anything too intense. Also, Ricordea yuma tends to be a little less hardy than their Caribbean counterparts Ricordea florida.

But, it also makes a big difference whether or not you get them tank-raised, or wild caught. Wild caught generally LIKE M lighting... take that 4" pink yuma I have for example... It was once under 250W MH HQI only 4" from the surface. It ust really all depends.
